Wowee, that was a lot for me 😮 . My hip on my right side is feeling a bit sore but I’m not surprised, I will keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t get worse. With running I swear something is always hurting. I get about one week a year where everything feels perfect. It’s all about monitoring the niggles to make sure they don’t develop into a full blown injury.

The only reason I ran this was because there were mince pies at the finish 😂
Running Connecting People
Right now that boring stuff is out of the way, now it’s story time! Running is mainly a sport for the recluse. A lucky few can do every run with a partner, however, most (like myself) have to do it for hours by themselves. You can do a lot by yourself, but as we all know, once you do it with someone else it’s just not the same 😉 .
So when runners have a chance to connect they’ll take the opportunity. We crave affection like a 20 year old girl with daddy issues. Strava is the number one example of this. People commenting and leaving kudos always give you a lil boost. Anyways, an Aussie bloke who I’ve been following on Strava for a while recently reached out to me. “Gday mate” it started (kidding ofc),he was asking about half marathons in January and by complete coincidence he asked about Farnborough with the goal of a sub-75. That’s the race I’m doing with the exact same goal! It now looks like we’ll be doing the race together to try and crack the time.

That’s miles innit. I barely have the motivation to go to the fridge for a Pepsi Max.
Isn’t that mad? A bloke the other side of the world messages me and now we’re running a half together. Being a runner you are part of a massive community. Wherever you are in the world, like minded weirdos will always find a connection!
Has anyone else got a story similar to this one? Lemme know in the comments
Lots of love,
Will xx
Can you tell me which website you bought your strava followers off? Need a bit more validation in my life
